Nineteen 30 at the Bassendean Hotel

Bassendean Hotel restaurant nameIn 1930 when Phar Lap was just hitting his straps and Don Bradman scored a record 452 in one innings, the Bassendean Hotel opened its doors for the first time.

And while it’s prominence in the community has waxed and waned over the years, since taking on the operation last year Jim and Leigh have put their whole life and energy into the hotel with a passion it hasn’t seen in a long time.

In their latest project for the hotel Jim and Leigh have revamped the once famous restaurant upstairs, and in recognition of the establishments heritage and history they named it “Nineteen 30 Restaurant and Bar”. (more…)
